Southpointe, an 827-acre multi-use park located in Cecil Township, Washington County is known as one of the premier business parks not only in the county, but also in Pennsylvania. Conveniently located adjacent to Interstate 79, the property is in the northern region of the county and includes corporate headquarters, light manufacturing businesses, a residential area, a golf course and much more.

 

The business park, originally developed in two phases (Southpointe I & Southpointe II) has proven to be one of the region’s most successful mixed-use developments with more than 300 existing companies including 15 headquarters or divisions of NYSE Companies. The park employs nearly 15,000 and boasts attractive utility rates and low property taxes. There is more than four million square feet of office space developed in Southpointe, alongside many other amenities that truly make it a live-work-play development.

 

Southpointe is about a 20-minute drive from both Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh International Airport, which recently became more convenient to access through the completion of the Southern Beltway segment connection to I-79 just north of the Southpointe interchange.  A principal system of road and air corridors connects the park some of the most active markets around the country and globe. Interstate 79 which is the principal north-south highway link to Interstate 70 and other east-west interstate highways in the northern United States. In addition, the aforementioned Southern Beltway connection provides convenient access to Pittsburgh International Airport and south of the park is the nearby Washington County Airport with service for private aviation/FBO operations.

 

The mixed-use business park has an 18-hole golf course and clubhouse, several health and fitness clubs, four hotels (including one with a conference/event center venue), restaurants, indoor ice-skating rink and soccer facility, single-family, townhome, patio home and multifamily residential units.  The Southpointe main street is home to several restaurants as well as a variety of other small shops and service entities.
