Collegiate Athletics

Donned in red and black, the Vulcans of California University of Pennsylvania field 18 (8 men, 10 women) NCAA Division II varsity teams including: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Soccer, Track & Field (Indoor & Outdoor), Softball, Swimming, Tennis and Volleyball. The Vulcans represent Washington County in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and boast an impressive collection of 72 conference championships and counting. 

The Washington & Jefferson College Presidents—also wearing red and black— field 24 (12 men, 12 women) NCAA Division III varsity teams including: baseball, basketball, cross country, field hockey, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling. The Presidents represent Washington County with primary conference affiliation in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and boast an impressive collection of 136 conference championships and counting. W&J is also a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and holds affiliate memberships with the Empire 8 (Field Hockey) and the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA).
