Customs Kicking Cancer

Back to Top of List

If the allure of classic cars and bikes isn't strong enough for you, come to support a good cause. This year's Rally on Main is hosted by Customs Kicking Cancer, a Venetia-based nonprofit dedicated to prostate cancer awareness, early detection, and the beginning of dialogue about cancer in the motorcycle and car enthusiast communities. It all began when CEO Dan Lucas's father, Dan "Danny" Lucas Sr., an avid motorcyclist, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March of 2009 at the age of 56. Even though Dan is fighting prostate cancer every day 14 years later, his passion to ride has never diminished, inspiring his son to begin Customs Kicking Cancer in honor of his father.

Dan Lucas Sr., although special in his journey, is not unique among men. Roughly 250,000 men are affected by prostate cancer every single year, making it the second most common cancer in men and the result of a death every fifteen minutes. In addition to this year's Rally on Main event, Customs Kicking Cancer is hosting a "Kick Cancer Across America' ride from Key West, Florida, all the way to Seattle, Washington on September 1, 2028.
