Don't just sit inside the house during the holidays - WashCo's got shows you're going to want to see! Between wacky nuns, laugh-out-loud moments and the sounds of a beachside holiday, get out and experience the arts right here in Washington County this holiday season.

December 4 - 21, 2025
Starting off a very merry season of theatre arts is Little Lake Theatre with its presentation of Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge. In this madcap comedy, Mrs. Cratchit has had enough of her overworked husband, their countless children, and the sentimental holiday clichés. When the Ghost of Christmas Past arrives to set things right, chaos ensues as the story takes wildly unexpected detours. Filled with sharp wit, zany characters, and laugh-out-loud moments, this uproarious spoof turns tradition on its head and delivers a fresh dose of holiday cheer throughout Little Lake’s intimate, 135-seat theatre-in-the-round-style theatre.
Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge is showing Thursdays – Sundays between December 4 – 21. We recommend buying tickets ASAP, as some shows are already sold out! This show is recommended for audience members ages 13 and up. You can purchase tickets here – tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for youths 18 and under.

Finishing up Old Schoolhouse Players’ 2026 season is its presentation of Nuncrackers, and if you haven’t checked out a show at Old Schoolhouse Players in Hickory yet, you’re missing out - it's definitely one of those places we'd classify as a hidden gem here in the county we think a lot more people need to know about.
The Nunsense Christmas Musical Nuncrackers is presented as the first TV special taped in the Cable Access Studio built by Reverend Mother in the convent basement. It stars the nuns you love, plus Father Virgil and four of Mount Saint Helen’s most talented students. Featuring all new songs, including “Twelve Days Prior to Christmas,” “Santa Ain’t Comin’ to Our House,” “We Three Kings of Orient Are Us” and “It's Better to Give than to Receive,” this show is filled with wacky Nunsense humor, some of your favorite carols, and a “Secret Santa” sequence featuring audience participation.
Nuncrackers is showing Fridays - Sundays between December 5 - 14. You can buy tickets here.
