The Gathering Place

Back to Top of List

Located in Washington, this 1812 red brick building is just as lovely on the inside as it is on the outside. Having previously housed many businesses over its storied history - an art studio, tavern, antique store and wagon wheel repair shop, to name a few - The Gathering Place was lovingly converted into a tea house and event space by local owners Cindy and John McGinnis in 2018 and has been a popular spot for those looking to experience authentic tea service ever since.

Guests are served a three-tier tea service complete with scones, sandwiches and desserts alongside a variety of teas while enjoying the relaxing and elegant atmosphere of the home, which has been decorated to reflect the era in which it was built, so guests can both appreciate the tea and the history of the building while sat in the tearoom.
