Bedner’s Farm and Greenhouse

You can pick your own flowers (Saturdays, July 2-September 24 11am-2pm) and veggies (Saturdays, July 16-August 27 from 11am-2pm) straight from the ground at Bedner’s Farm and Greenhouse, located in McDonald, Pa.

 

The farm features 15 greenhouses and produce fields. During their retail season (April-October), visitors can experience gardening workshops, special events like Pumpkin Palooza, and a store filled with local goodies and artisan products. Trax Farms is a community favorite and offers visitors fresh produce and homemade farm favorites. With a variety of U-Pick events, Trax Farms allows visitors to pick their season-fresh produce and flowers year round.

 

In addition, they also offer an antique loft, local wines, seasonal festivals, a gardening center, a fresh bakery/deli and much more.

Offering a large variety of fresh picked, locally grown fruits and vegetables, full service greenhouse and U-Pick vegetable/flower fields, Simmons Farm has something for everyone!

 

Simmons Farms invites visitors to U-Pick events from June through October, where you are able to pick apples, peaches, strawberries, blueberries, pumpkins and flowers.

 

In addition to the U-Pick events, Simmons Farm also offers a variety of seasonal festivals, a country market and locally-crafted goodies.

Swope’s Berries & Bees

Tucked away in Avella, Swope’s Berries and Bees is a family-owned and operated U-Pick and honeybee farm. During the summer, visitors can pick blueberries and black raspberries.

 

While there, you can also see their honeybee farm, as well as purchase their various honey and wax products.
