Whether you’re an 80s baby or just need to see what all the hype is about, you won’t want to miss out on this limited-time experience open now through May 24.
Much like last fall’s BeetleBar, “Back to the 80s” isn’t just a pop-up bar—it’s a full-blown time warp to the neon-soaked era of VHS tapes and Rubik’s Cubes. The nostalgic décor and guests decked out in their finest 80s fashion set the vibe, but it’s the weekly events that truly bring the decade to life. Thursdays are 80s trivia, while Fridays feature rotating theme nights with themes like “Neon Club Night,” “Rockstar Rendezvous,” and “British Invasion,” and Saturdays light up the night with themed 80s dance parties hosted by DJs AJ Fresh and FedX.
Saturday’s themes include nights like “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “I Love Rock N’ Roll,” “O.M.G, I Totally Forgot About This Song,” “Big Hair Rock Bands,” and much more, so you may as well cancel your Saturday plans from April 12 to May 24 right now. Costumes are encouraged—so tease that hair, grab your Walkman, and embrace your inner Madonna or Prince for a night of throwback fun!
If that’s not enough 80s realness for you, the menu straight out of 1985 may just be. Inspired by the most iconic moments and figures from the 80s, you and your friends will come back again and again for righteous snacks like “Cowabunga Cafeteria Style Pizza,” “Highway to the Sloppy Joe,” and the much-anticipated “Karate Kid Twinkie Sushi Roll," which is exactly what you think it is.
