There were some super fun additions to our events lineup this year in WashCo! Here’s a few highlights.

  • Tacos & Tequila at EQT ParkTacos & Tequila attracted thousands to EQT Park in Washington for some nostalgic fun straight out of the Y2K era. Acts like Petey Pablo, Chingy, Mike Jones, Twista and Lil Jon lit the stage up with some of the greatest throwback hits to ever hit the sound waves in the 90s and 2000s all while guests sampled tacos and had some serious tequila-fueled fun.
  • Four Chord Music Festival Returns to EQT Park2025 marked the return of a fixture of the pop-punk scene to Washington County. • Polo Matches at Pittsburgh Polo ClubThe Pittsburgh Polo Club isn’t exactly new, but we dare to say that both visitors and locals alike are just starting to find out they can attend polo matches on the club’s sprawling property in Burgettstown less than 10 minutes from the Pavilion at Star Lake. If you’re looking for a fun day out with your friends, we highly recommend packing a picnic and a cooler and heading out to watch some fast-paced action on the polo field at the Pittsburgh Polo Club.
  • All-Clad Summer Factory Sale Returns to Washington County FairgroundsFans of All-Clad were delighted in June of this year when the All-Clad Summer Factory Sale returned to the Washington County Fairgrounds after a several year hiatus. Just like the Winter Factory Sale, visitors from all over snagged deals on cookware, bakeware and more for up to 70% off.

Back to Top of List

There's been plenty of good news happening throughout 2025, so much so that it was hard to pick out a few choice highlights.

  • Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency & America250PA Unveil Commemorative Liberty Bell: July 4, 2026 will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. In honor of the occasion, the Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency partnered with America250PA to design a replica liberty bell as part of statewide art series Bells Across PA. Renowned artist James Sulkowski of Canonsburg with assistance from fellow Canonsburg residents Mike Melone and John Dziak designed and decorated the bell with many Washington County icons such as the Whiskey Rebellion, W&J College, the PONY League World Series, Washington County's agricultural heritage, the Monongahela River, and, of course, George Washington, among many other figures and events. Following an unveiling ceremony in August 2025, the bell, titled The American Spirit, is now in its permanent home and on public display at the Washington County Historical Society.
  • Bradford House 60th Anniversary: 2025 marked the 60th anniversary of the Bradford House’s official establishment as a museum in 1965. The 200-year-old stone home underwent extensive restorations to its on-property structures this year, after which the process was marked with an anniversary celebration in September.

In June, the park hosted the  Céad Míle Fáite Matchup, a showdown between the Washington Whiskey Runners and the world’s first all-Irish baseball club, the Irish Wolfhounds. The exhibition game benefitted Riley’s Pour House, an Irish pub in Carnegie significantly affected by a fire in 2024. To top it all off, the Wild Things won the Frontier League's division title with a 54-42 record, making it the team's 10th division title in its franchise history.
  • Pennsylvania Trolley Museum Presents Restored “Terrible Trolley”: Just in time for the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum officially unveiled the fully restored “Terrible Trolley,” a beloved Pittsburgh fixture from the 1980s. Originally repainted to celebrate the Steelers’ four Super Bowl Championships in the 1970s at the request of a 9-year-old-girl, the Terrible Trolley is now fully operational at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum in hopes Steelers fans of all ages will stop by and appreciate this iconic piece of Steel City history.
